Process Stages — Detailed
Concept
Defines the scope, boundary conditions, and feasibility of the design concept. At this stage, requirements are captured, trade-offs are analysed, and the technical approach is established before detailed design work commences. This stage sets the foundation for all subsequent engineering activity.
Design
Detailed system design is executed, transforming captured requirements into a complete, verified design package. This includes schematic design, PCB layout, mechanical design, and BOM generation — all developed to the applicable IPC and industry standards. Our E-CADD team applies DFM and DFT principles throughout.
Implementation
The validated design is prepared for production. This encompasses process engineering, tooling, fixtures, and the systematic build-up of the system into a production-representative configuration. Our manufacturing team works closely with the design team to ensure faithful build execution.
Integration & Testing
The assembled system is subjected to a structured verification programme to confirm that all functional, electrical, and interface requirements are fully met. Integration testing ensures all subsystems operate correctly as a complete system — prior to environmental qualification.
Environmental Testing
The system is exposed to the relevant environmental stress conditions — including temperature, vibration, humidity, and shock — to confirm compliance with the applicable environmental specifications for aerospace or industrial deployment. Testing is documented to applicable defence and aerospace standards.
Manufacturing
The validated design is transitioned to production. Our manufacturing team executes the build to the approved process documentation, producing a fully conformant information and hardware package ready for deployment or delivery. Full traceability is maintained throughout the production run.
